A welsh born realist painter specializing in finely detailed oil pastel animal portraiture. For me, the focus of each work is the eye, and the story an animal can convey in a simple expression without saying a word.

Although Inspired by the realist painters, especially, Andrew Wyeth, Alex Collvile and Salvador Dali. My early paintings bear the signature Pat Thompson. Most early paintings were done in oil. I tried acrylics, liked them, and since 2000, that is my medium of choice.
